RANGE RULES

Ear & Eye Protection

 

RULE 1: Guns must be UNLOADED & ENCLOSED within a carrying case until the person is on the firing line; and when leaving the line.

 

RULE 2: ALL uncased firearms must be on or at a shooting bench at all times.

 

RULE 3: Guns must be pointed down range at all times while on the firing line. Gun actions will be open with chamber flag inserted when actually in position at firing line during a cease fire.

 

RULE 4: Keep muzzle pointed down range at paper target AT ALL TIMES! Follow this rule when loading or unloading, adjusting scopes, and adjusting sights.

 

RULE 5: No one will leave a loaded gun unattended AT ANY TIME.

 

RULE 6: NO RAPID FIRE! Allow at least one full second between rounds fired. NO EXCEPTIONS!

 

RULE 7: No .50 caliber BMG, and hardened steel jacketed bullets allowed.

 

RULE 8: The possession or consumption of malt fermented or alcoholic beverages or drugs is prohibited within the shooting center.

 

RULE 9: NO SMOKING will be permitted on any range at any time.

 

RULE 10: Any person who observes an unsafe condition or practice on the range is authorized to call for a cease fire.

 

RULE 11: Violation of any shooting range regulation is cause for dismissal from the range or for a written citation from a department law enforcement officer.

 

RULE 12: McMiller staff promotes a safe environment. Range officers may deny shooting privileges to anyone displaying unsafe conduct or rule violations. Violators may be asked to leave. NO REFUNDS!

 

 

DURING THE ENTIRE CEASE FIRE

 

RULE 1: All weapons must be completely unloaded with actions open with chamber flag inserted.

 

RULE 2: Stay next to the back wall or fence.

 

RULE 3: Absolutely no handling of weapons or ammunition during a cease fire including adjustments.

 

RULE 4: Stay clear of shooting bench.

 

 

KNOW THE FOUR BASIC RULES OF FIREARM SAFETY

 

RULE 1: Treat every firearm as if it is loaded

 

RULE 2: Always point the muzzle in a safe direction

 

RULE 3: Be certain of your target and what is beyond it

 

RULE 4: Keep your finger outside the trigger guard until ready to shoot
